As the internet grows and changes more and more internet markeitng avenues come on to the scene.  When meeting with clients I'm frequently asked how they can make money with their website, aside from their trditional income generation.  Here are some ot the most effective forms of online marketing available to anyone with a website. 

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is when a company that owns a product pays a website owner a commission everytime a product is purchased through their site.  It's a win win situation for all parties involved.  The product company gains more exposure for their product, the website owner sells a product he or she never physically has to carry and makes money.  Sound's easy enough.  Right?  We'll studies show that to be successful means having relevant content on your site that reflects the products you are promoting.  You also need to promote good products and consider and compare commission payouts.  So is ther money to be made?  Absolutely.  Affiliate marketing is alive and growing. 

Pay Per Click Programs-

Pay per click programs work like this.  You put someone elses links on your site and everytime someone clicks on the link, you get a commission.  Wondering how much money you can make.  Well, the owner of the link bids for a price they will pay per click.  Let say it is 25 cents.  They you, the website owner gets a percentage of that.  Most companies won't disclose how much you get.  Regardless of if it is 1% or 2% bids on pay per clicks usually are kept to under a dollar or marginally over.  There for to make money you need to be doing real volume.  If your site gets a lot of traffic this is an easy way to make money with out having to do anything really. 

Finally, these two marketing methosd can be combined into another money making effort.  Let's say you join on as an affiliate for a mirror company.  And let's imagine that the company pays a commission of $100 for every mirror you sell.  You as an affiliate could take your link and then subscribe to a pay per click program and market the affiliate link through the pay per click program giving you increased exposure.  Let's say it cost you 25 cents a click roughly every 10 clicks you sell a mirror then you'r making pretty good money.
