My Work

My work explores socio-technical dimensions of human-centered design and the product development process.   I take an interdisciplinary approach and examine how, when, and why vulnerabilities and barriers present at various dimensions of socio-technical systems and within the ecosystems they operate, and how these variables can be overcome to ensure optimal design that truly serves intended user groups with integrity, transparency, autonomy, and inclusion.

What is Design Thinking?

Design thinking involves the application of human-centered techniques to solve problems in innovative and creative ways.

Design thinking requires a profound grasp of the individuals for whom we are creating products. It requires a deep comprehension of individuals, their motivations, and their needs. By engaging in thorough research, thoughtful questioning, keen observation, rigorous testing, and genuine empathy, we aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Our process involves identifying problems, segmenting users, challenging assumptions, and conducting in-depth research. We also closely observe the processes that users go through, as well as the strengths and limitations of our organization's products and services, all with the ultimate goal of understanding the diversity of humans who use our product and meeting the users' needs.
